Experience Fearless Care
Leave Your Fear at the Door
Dental anxiety affects millions of Americans nationwide and frequently ranks among the most common phobias. This fear can be overwhelming, especially when your treatment plan requires surgery. We believe our patients deserve a comfortable, low-stress experience every time they walk through our doors.
Dr. Anis Tebyanian’s training and expertise as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon makes him uniquely qualified to offer various sedation options for his patients. We offer options to suit the complexity of your treatment as well as your level of anxiety.
Why Consider Sedation?
- Fear of dental procedures
- Sensitive gag reflex
- Low pain threshold
- Dental anxiety
- Multiple complex treatments
Our Select Sedation Options
Oral Sedation
We will administer a carefully calibrated dose of medications in pill form, allowing you to enjoy a “twilight” state of consciousness while staying responsive throughout your procedure. With this sedation option, you’ll need a driver to take you home.
Nitrous Oxide
Often called “laughing gas,” nitrous oxide is inhaled through a mask before treatment. You’ll stay alert and awake but feel relaxed throughout your procedure. The effects of nitrous oxide wear off quickly once your mask is removed.
IV General Anesthesia Sedation
Administered intravenously, general anesthesia sedation puts you in a “sleep” state, though you will remain responsive during your procedure. With amnesic effects, many patients who choose general anesthesia sedation may forget parts of their care or the entirety of their treatment. As this general anesthesia option can leave you groggy, you will need someone to drive you home after your visit.
Empower Yourself To Move Forward With Treatment
Sedation allows patients to manage dental anxiety, ensuring timely treatment and minimizing health risks.
Our sedation options provide comfortable care, enabling you to address your oral health needs promptly. Dr. Tebyanian is dedicated to discussing concerns and the various sedation choices, to ensure stress-free procedures and improved quality of life.
